MELBOURNE-OSAKA RACE BOAT

Design developed for the 1995 YAMAHA Melbourne, Australia to Osaka, Japan doublehanded race. Similar in spirit (open design) to the B.O.C. boats, but with a maximum length of 16 metres (52.5’). Features carbon spars, Kevlar rigging, twin wheels and twin rudders. A drop in the Japanese economy stalled this very promising project.

COYOTE

 60 foot boat built for the 1992/93 Vendee Globe Challenge, our third design for this non-stop single-handed race around the world. Raced in the 1994/95 B.O.C. (David Scully). Second in her class for the 1996 Europe One Star Transatlantic Race (Josh Hall).

CALIFORNIA CHALLENGE

50 foot Open Class Singlehander developed to help Brad Vanliew win class 2 in the Around Alone Race. After time ran out for Fund raising, we redesigned the appendages, rig & deck for an existing Open Fifty, 'Balance Bar'.

GRINAKER

60 foot Open Class yacht in which Bertie Reed raced the 1989/90 Vendee Globe Challenge. Also raced in the 1990/91 B.O.C. Challenge, won the B.O.C. Blue Ribband and won her Class in the 1993 Cape Town-Rio race. Raced in the 1994/95 B.O.C. under J.J. Provoyeur.
